Octogenarians League (80+)

At Donalda Club on alternate Friday Mornings at 10:00am

 

Thursday Men's Team Entry

Thursdays at 6:45pm and 9:00pm

This is a Team Entry League , experience recommended, but not necessary.

Three Series in three divisions.

The A division teams will receive 8 points for a win, 4 points for a tie and 1 point for a loss.

The B division teams will receive 6 points for a win, 3 points for a tie and 1 point for a loss.

The C division teams will receive 4 points for a win, 2 points for a tie and 1 point for a loss.

After series one and two, two teams will move up and two teams will move down a division.

After series three teams will be seeded into a playoff bracket based on total points for the entire season.

There will be a playoff in which the top 16 teams will play for the club championship and the remaining team will playoff in the Doug McGregor division.

The club champions, the league champions and the Doug McGregor division champions will have their names placed in the ice for the 2019-2020 season.

Monday Intermediate League (Six Ends)

This league plays on alternate Mondays.  Week one, three and five at 7:40pm and Week two, four and six at 9:15pm beginning in October 2018.

The league is open to teams comprised any combination of men and women, open to all skill levels.

Individual entries will also be accepted if space allows.

The top team over the entire season will have their names placed in the ice for the 2019-2020 season.

 

Tuesday Open League

Tuesdays at 7:00pm and 9:15pm.

Two series, October to December and January to April. Curlers may enter as couples or individuals.  Teams will be drawn by committee.

The player at each position that wins the most game over the entire season will form an all-star team and will have their names placed in the ice for the 2018-2019 season.

 

Wednesday Women's League

The league welcomes all Donalda women members who wish to curl, including seasonal members. Individuals register online to enter this league. Curlers are encouraged to sign up for the entirety of a draw to be placed on a team but may also choose to be on a spare list (filling in when available.) New curlers should take advantage of the instruction offered by our professional staff prior to the start of the season.

Games are Wednesday evening at 7:00pm and 9:15pm At present there is one flight. There will be two draws with scoring being win, loss, or tie. The score is entered online and points are calculated based on win, loss, tie or default. 

For draw one the conveners will create balanced teams where skill development and socializing are the priorities. These games will be eight ends. Draw Two will be a competitive team entry, with restrictions, with eight end games. The winner of draw two will become our Women's Club Champions and qualify to represent Donalda at the Traveler’s Club Championship the following November 2019.  The top players at each position in series one will form an all-star team and will have their names placed in the ice for the 2019-2020 season.  The club champions will also have their names placed in the ice for the 2019-2020 season.

  • Finals & Closing Curling Section Banquet: Saturday April 6, 2019

Friday Mixed Social League (Six Ends)

This league is mixed (two men and two women) and is open to all skill levels.

Members may enter as individuals or as couples.

The league plays six end games on Fridays at 7:00 pm and 8:45 pm

The teams are drawn by committee and made to match skill level for each series.

The top players at each position over the entire season will form an all-star team and will have their names placed in the ice for the 2019-2020 season.

Wednesday U21 Bantams/Juniors

This league is Wednesdays from 5:20-6:50 pm

For youth age 13-21. Great chance to learn and develop new curling skills while meeting new friends!

The top players based strongly on attendance and participation will form an all-star team and will have their names placed in the ice for the 2019-2020 season.

Monday Under 12-Little Rocks

Mondays from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

For youth age 7-12. Great chance to learn and develop new curling skills while meeting new members!

Sunday Open Doubles

Alternating Sundays  at 11:00am

Team entry league open to all skill levels. Teams of two people. Teams may be mixed, two women or two men.

Curling Canada's mixed doubles will be used.

A playoff will be used to determine the club champion and their names will be placed in the ice for the 2019-2020 season.

Sunday Team Entry Mixed

Alternate Sundays at 11:00am 

Team entry (two men and two women per team playing alternating positions), open to all skill levels, though experience is recommended.

A playoff will determine the club champions and that team will have their names placed in the ice for the 2019-2020 season.

 

Monday Team Entry Open (Six Ends)

This is a Open Team Entry League, any combination of men and women are accepted.  Experience recommended, but not necessary.  Six end games.  Monday nights at 7:40pm and 9:15pm
